The Therapod concept was developed by a health professional in the 1980’s, and originally marketed as a standard back support.
A combination of four adjustable straps, allied with a highly flexible back shell, results in a back support that conforms to the back shape of the user. The re-positioning of the straps ensures that precise spinal support can be provided, whilst the more tension that is added to each strap results in the back shell curving around the user, providing lateral support.

However, we have incorporated additional design aspects into the Therapod office seating, which provide even greater support, comfort and functionality into the overall product.
Premium Synchron Mechanism
The strength and ergonomics of any office chair are provided by its mechanism. We have therefore selected a control which offers the greatest level of durability and support, in order to compliment the adjustable back support system. The concept of a synchronized control is such that as the user of the chair moves back and forth within their working environment, their chair moves with them at the same time. This results in an optimal permanent-contact back support.

V-TEQ™ Seat Foam
TSS has pioneered the use of visco-elastic seat foam, in office seating applications. Developed initially by NASA, and widely used throughout the bedding industry due to their amazing ability to manage pressure & temperature transferal, visco-elastic foams should be strongly recommended for all users of ergonomic seating. We have incorporated visco foam into a unique seat cushion, and under our V-TEQ™ trademark, have created a new benchmark in seating design, comfort and support. Therapod Office Chairs
Therapod chairs come in two styles – Contemporary and Classic
Contemporary Therapod is available in one back height, designed with the larger user, & / or heavy-duty situations in mind.
A highly developed and functional chair, the Contemporary Therapod is our leading seating brand. Classic Therapod has been developed for the smaller / lighter user, as it is narrower than the Contemporary version. Available in two back heights, there is an optional higher back to suit taller users. In addition to the optimal premium synchron mechanism, we offer a ‘standard’ synchron mechanism for low-level applications. Flexform office chairs are similar in style to the Classic Therapod – manufactured from common components – but are supplied with one fixed lumbar strap, as distinct from the four adjustable straps associated with Therapod.
The back of the chair remains dynamic and flexible in the same fashion that Therapod is, but they lack the unique postural support that only Therapod seating offers. Flexform chairs are available in two back heights, in either the standard synchron or standard ergo mechanism. Fluid chairs combine optimal aesthetic design, with the premium synchron mechanism.
The mesh seat and back allow air-flow to move freely around the body of the user, maintaining a cooler ambient temperature. Six mesh colours are available, or an optional upholstered seat provides a softer cushioning. Galaxy 2 task seating solves the issue of being able to provide a durable task chair, which is up to the task of heavy-duty usage.
By utilizing the premium synchron mechanism, the Galaxy 2 is rated for 24 / 7 usage – with a maximum weight limit of 150kg. V-TEQ task chairs utilize the V-TEQ™ seat foam, as found in the Therapod range.
This advanced seating concept is available to a wide range of users, for all ergonomic seating requirements – in this generic range.

An all mesh design, which is perfect for a warm climate such as Australia.
An optional upholstered seat gives the individual the ability to meld fabric and mesh together, to create a chair which reflects their own personality.
Six mesh colours to select from – and options such as a height / depth adjustable lumbar support, as well as an adjustable head-rest, ensure that the chair can be fully individualized.
The sensational ‘Zero-Separation’ ensures that the back of the chair remains in constant position with the back of the user, as the chair moves throughout its synchronous arc. This means that no matter where you move in the Fluid, the chair provides constant contact and back support.
Stylish and ergonomically crafted, Fluid is also a heavy-duty performer; able to withstand 24 hour – 7 day usage, and user-weights up to 150kg.
Standard features include a sliding seat control, which varies the seat-depth to suit the leg length of each different user. This can be adjusted within seconds – meaning the Fluid is perfect for shift use and hot-desking.
